COAL GROVE — Better late than never. The Fairland Dragons rallied in the sixth inning and edged the Coal Grove Hornets 5-4 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Friday. Fairland (3-5, 2-1) took a 1-0 lead to start the game but Coal Grove tied the game in the bottom of the first inning. CHESAPEAKE — The Ironton Fighting Tigers took off their cleats and put on the hitting shoes. Bobcats blank Vikings to stay undefeated
AID — Gabe Blevins was quite a hit with his pitching performance on Thursday, mainly because he didn’t give up many hits. Blevins shined on the mound as he pitched a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and no walks as the Green Bobcats blanked the Symmes Valley Vikings 9-0 in a non-conference game. Tigers blank Trojans in early OVC showdown
IRONTON — Ironton Fighting Tigers head coach John Hunt must have bought a lot of white paint for his team. They keep white washing their opponents.
