RACELAND, Ky. — There are bad starts and then there are bad starts.
The Fairland Lady Dragons fell behind 15-0 in the first inning and lost 15-4 to the Raceland Lady Rams on Wednesday.
Raceland (3-1) collected 12 hits with Kali Vance going 2-03 with a 2-run home run and Carly Fannin was 2-2 with a home run and 3 RBI.
Savanna Grubb went 2.2 innings for the win as she gave up just one hit, struck out one and walked 2. Jill Riffe finished up and allowed 6 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned with one strikeout and 4 walks.
Fairland (0-3) knocked out 7 hits. Katie Dehart was 1-3 with a double and an RBI, Maddie Short 2-2 with an RBI, Jordan Spencer 1-2 with an RBI, Ally Shepherd 1-2 with a double and RBI, and Nevaeh Clark and Isa Taliarferro both went 1-2 for the Lady Dragons.
