Four hit double figures in Lady Dragons win over Redwomen

PROCTORVILLE — The Fairland Lady Dragons didn’t start hot. They started on fire.

The Lady Dragons scored 50 points in the first half en route to an 88-10 Ohio Valley Conference win on Friday over the Rock Hill Redwomen.

Bailey Russell scored 20 points and Isa Taliaferro had 19 points as four players hit double figures and nine different players scored as Fairland improved to 2-0 overall and in the OVC.

Taliaferro knocked down a 3-pointer and scored 11 points while sisters Rylee Russell and Bailey Russell combined for 13 points and Fairland raced to a 37-3 first quarter lead.

Bailey Russell hit a trey and scored 9 points in the second quarter with Addison Godby and Addyson Cornell netting 5 points each as the lead grew to 60-5 at the break.

Taliaferro had 6 points and Rylee Russell hit a pair of 3-pointers as Fairland held Rock Hill scoreless to build a 81-5 cushion.

Godby finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Rylee Russell had 13 points and Cornell got 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
