White, Hankins Help Lady Tigers Knock Off North Adams, 52-42

IRONTON — The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers had an unofficial “White Out.”

Emerson White hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points as Ironton stunned the North Adams Lady Green Devils 52-42 on Saturday.

White got plenty of help from Lola Hankins who scored 16 points for Ironton (10-11).

North Adams (16-6) took a 9-8 first quarter lead as Emma Pistole scored 5 points to ignite the offense.

Peyton Deer, Lola Hankins, Jolee Hankins and White all had baskets for Ironton.

The Lady Fighting Tigers tied the game 19-all at halftime as White and Lola Hankins each drilled a 3-pointer and scored 5 points to start Ironton’s comeback.

North Adams (16-6) got a 3-pointer from Karlie Kennedy and 3 points from Emma Pistole.

The game turned in the third quarter as Ironton outscored North Adams 20-13 and the lead was 39-32.

White got the hot hand as she drained three trifectas and scored 11 points. Deer scored 4 points and Lola Hankins hit a 3-pointer as Ironton took charge.

Katelynn Boerger scored 8 points and Pistole was 3 of 5 from the foul line.

Lola Hankins scored 6 points in the fourth quarter as Ironton outscored, White hit a 3-pointer and Lexi McCall and Jolee Hankins each added a basket.

Boerger scored 4 points and Tatum Grooms.

Boerger scored 16 points and Pistole 11 to pace North Adams.
