Issacs, Nichols give Lady Panthers boost in win over Lady Musketeers

CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers were looking for some scoring help and they only had to look at their own roster.
Needing some help for leading scorer Abbey Isaacs, Ciera Nichols stepped up and gave the offense a boost in a 56-18 win over the Greenup County Lady Musketeers on Saturday.
Isaacs had another big game with 24 points including four 3-pointers, but Nichols hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 points in the win.
Isaacs hit a 3-pointer and scored 7 points while Nichols added a trey and Chesapeake led 12-5 after the first quarter.
The defense held Greenup to just 4 points in the second quarter and extended the lead to 23-9 at the half.
Chloe Parrott had 4 points and Nichols hit another triple for the Lady Panthers.
Chesapeake (10-2) opened up a 40-16 lead in the third quarter as Isaacs had a pair of 3-pointers and scored 12 points while Nichols added 5 points including another 3-pointer.
Isaacs had a 3-pointer and two foul shots, Nichols scored 4 points and K.J. Collins also hit from behind the arc as Chesapeake outscored the Lady Musketeers 16-2.
Chesapeake plays host to Portsmouth on Tuesday.
