IRONTON — The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers have a new drink called Lola Cola. You shake it up, open and let the points pour out.
Lola Hankins scored a career-high 30 points as the Lady Fighting Tigers beat the Portsmouth Notre Dame Lady Titans 56-32 in the Ironton Classic on Friday.
Joining Hankins in double digits was Emerson White with 11 points as Ironton improved to 3-3.
Hankins had 9 points including a 3-pointer, Peyton Deer hit a trifecta and Jolee Hankins scored 4 points as Ironton took a 16-10 first quarter lead.
Jaysa Bryant had 5 points in the quarter for the Lady Titans.
White drained a 3-pointer and scored 5 points and Jolee Hankins had 4 more points for Ironton’s total in the quarter and it was 25-18 at the half.
Bryant scored 6 more points in the quarter for Notre Dame.
Ironton took command of the game in the third quarter as they opened up a 46-21 lead.
Lola Hankins poured in 11 points including 4 free throws and a trey with White hitting a 3-pointer and scoring 6 points.
Lola Hankins hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 8 of Ironton’s 10 points in the fourth quarter.
Taylor Lassell had 5 points and Laney Strickland 4 in the quarter for the Lady Titans.
Bryant led Notre Dame with 11 points.
