It had been 8 years since the last Ohio Valley Conference championship for the Coal Grove Hornets, but that changed this season as they completed an unbeaten league record in claiming their first football title since 2017. CROWN CITY — Layne Wright's 2-point conversion run capped off a last-minute drive for South Gallia, as the Symmes Valley Vikings fell to the Rebels 38-36 in the regular season finale on Friday night.
