West Pitchers Throw Combined 2-hitter To Slip Past Lady Dragons

PROCTORVILLE — Pitching was the name of the game.

Layla Kamer and Maci Bradford combined on a two-hitter as the Portsmouth West Lady Senators blanked the Fairland Lady Dragons 3-0 in five innings on Thursday.

Ally Shepherd threw well in defeat as she gave up just 6 hits and 2 earned runs. She struck out 3 and walked 3.

Kamer worked 3 innings allowing both hits. She fanned 3 and walked 2 while Bradford got the save as she struck out 3 and did not walk a batter.

Katie Dehart was 1-1 with a double and Shepherd 1-3 with a double to account for the Fairland (0-4) offense.

For West, Bradford was 2-3 with a double and run batted in, Ava Potters 1-3 with 2 RBI and Iyla Cornell was 2-3 with double.
