Wall, Dragons Hit Their Way Past Redmen

PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redmen ran into a Wall.


Ethan Wall, that is.


Wall went 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles and 5 runs batted in as the Fairland Dragons rolled to an 11-1 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Redmen on Tuesday.


Fairland (4-6, 3-0) had 17 hits led by Wall but there were plenty of others who hit.

Wyatt Thomas was 2-4 with a double, Chase Lapole 2-3 and an RBI, Kaden Wiseman 1-4 with a double, Garrett Corwell 3-4 with an RBI, Josh Gillespie 1-3 with an RBI, Cyrus Cummings 1-4 and an RBI while Luke Brown and Elias Blankenship each went 1-3.


Logan Hopper was 1-1 and Dawson Lewis 1-3 for Rock Hill (2-4, 2-1).


Wiseman went 5 innings to get the win as he gave up 2 hits, one unearned run, struck out 6 and walked 2. Nolan Fleming pitched 2 hitless innings of relief with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.
