South Charleston Use Strong 1st Half To Down Redwomen

PEDRO — J’lynn Risner had a good game. Unfortunately, so did Lauren Brisco-Lambert and Annaiesha Johnson.
Brisco-Lambert scored 18 points and Johnson 10 as the South Charleston Lady Black Eagles beat the Rock Hill Redwomen 53-36 in the Hardwood on the Hill last Saturday.
The duo’s efforts overshadowed a 21-point effort by Risner for the Redomen (3-7).
Zianna Carter scored 5 points with Nyhanni Watson and each hitting 3-pointers as the Lady Black Eagles (4-3) took a 15-10 first quarter lead.
Risner scored 4 points and Samantha Bamer hit a 3-pointer for the Redwomen.
Johnson and Mikayla Collins hit 3-pointers and Brico-Lambert scored 4 points as the lead went to 25-14 at the half.
Bamer had another trifecta and Risner sank a free throw to account for the Rock Hill scoring.
Brisco-Lambert had 7 points and Hanna Moore scored 5 points including a 3-pointer as the lead grew to 42-24.
Risner scored 6 points and Abby Schug was 3-of-4 at the foul line for the Redwomen.
Brico-Lambert had 7 points and Johnson 4 to account for the Lady Black Eagles scoring in the fourth quarter.
Risner drained a 3-pointer and scored 10 points and Haylee Dancy added a basket for Rock Hill in the quarter.
