Redwomen's Comeback Falls Just Short

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The comeback didn’t quite come back far enough.
The Rock Hill Redwomen put together a fourth quarter comeback that fell short in a 35-32 loss to the South Charleston Black Eagles on Saturday.
Rock Hill trailed 23-17 going into the fourth quarter and outscored South Charleston 15-12 as J’lynn Risner scored 14 of her team’s 15 points.
But Annamiesha Johnson got 5 points and Lauren Brisco-Lambert 3 to hold off the comeback bid.
Nyhanni Watson scored 5 points including a 3-pointer as South Charleston took a 10-9 lead.
Myles Bailey scored 5 points including a 3-pointer for Rock Hill in the quarter.
Johnson had 5 points including a 3-pointer andJada Satterfield got 3 points as the lead went to 18-13 at the half.
Risner scored all 4 points for the Redwomen (3-5).
South Charleston outscored Rock Hill 5-4 in the third quarter to lead 23-17.
Abigail Payne and Risner had the only baskets for Rock Hill in the quarter.
Risner finished with a game-high 20 points.
Johnson had 13 points for the Black Eagles.
