Lady Tigers Knock Out 20 Hits in Win Over Fairland

PROCTORVILLE — It’s just like Bamm Bamm Rubble would say, “Bam, bam, bam. Bam, bam, bam.”
That was the sound of the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ bats as they belted out 20 hits in a 17-0 Oho Valley Conference win over the Fairland Lady Dragons on Tuesday.
Aubrey Ferguson led the offensive barrage as she went 4-for-4 with a double and a grand slam home run as she drove in 8 runs.
Ferguson belted her home run with the bases juiced to highlight a 12-run fourth inning.
Ironton (5-0, 2-0) had 8 players get hits as Layla Townsend was 3-5, Khamil Martin 2-3 with a double and RBI, Kenley Neal 2-4 with an RBI, Miley Bias 2-4, Braegan Thomas 2-3 with an RBI, Aubry Shavers 2-2 and an RBI and Olivia Wilson 1-1.
Ava Bihl notched the win with a two-hitter. She struck out8 and did not walk a batter.
Jordan Spencer was 2-2 for Fairland (0-5, 0-2).
