Lady Tigers Keep Bats Rolling in Win Over Fairland

IRONTON — The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers just keep on hitting.
Ironton had 13 hits as they beat the Fairland Lady Dragons 11-2 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Tuesday.
Ironton (6-1, 3-0) was led by Ryleigh Kouns who went 3-4 with a double and 4 runs batted in. Khamil Martin was 2-4 with a home run and 2 RBI, Layla Townsend was 2-4, Miley Bias 2-5, Braegan Thomas 1-4 and Kenley Neal had a pair of RBIs.
Ava Bihl backed her own 4-hit pitching performance by going 3-3 with a double and an RBI. Bihl struck out 15 and walked 2 while allowing 2 earned runs as she went the distance.
Aubrey Hayes was 2-4 with an RBI, Katie Dehart 1-3 with a double and RBI and Aubree Cyrus 1-3 for Fairland (0-7, 0-3).
