Weber made his first start of the season and picked up the win, allowing just four hits, two earned runs, and struck out five in three innings of work.

The sophomore's last appearance on the mound came on Mar. 31 against Coal Grove before suffering an injury on the base path that forced him to exit the game and missed four weeks.

Saint Joseph's offense continued to hammer out hits and score runs.

Lyons paced the Flyers, going 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and five runs batted in. Landon Rowe went 3-5 with a double and two RBIs. Beckham Waginger had a double and an RBI, Carson Willis had a hit and three RBIs, and Blake Medinger had a hit and 2 RBIs. Wes Neal and Weber each had a hit and an RBI. Evan Aldridge and Ian Whaley had a hit, and Kemper Kerecman also had an RBI.

While Weber was shaking off the rust, the Tartans we able to take advantage in the opening inning and scratch across the first run of the game to take the lead.

Kaiden Huston singled to lead off, Lindon Williams drew a walk, and Tycyn Pernell laid down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners over. Then Dustin Bailey followed with an RBI single into right to put the Tartans ahead 1-0.

But the lead wouldn't last, as the Flyers rattled off six runs in the second to take control.

Willis and Rowe each accounted for an RBI single to highlight the scoring rally. Aldridge also knocked in a run to make it 6-1 before Zander Cook made a throw from left field and Keegan Barker made the tag at home for the final out of the inning.

The Flyers (0-0) continued to pour it on in the third, adding eight more runs.

Rowe collected his two RBIs during the inning with a single into right to make it 10-2 at that point. Then Weber knocked in Rowe with a base hit into right. Later in the inning, Willis doubled into right center to score two more runs and Lyons brought Willis home with a double of his own.

The rest of Lyons' RBis came in the fourth, when he came up with the bases loaded. Lyons drove a 3-2 pitch into deep left center to clear the bases and put the Flyers up 18-2.

Huston took the loss for the Tartans.

Bailey led the Tartans offensively, going 2-3 with an RBI. Pernell had a hit and an RBI, and Huston had a hit for East.
