Lady Pointers bounce back with win over Lady Panthers

SOUTH POINT — After suffering a heartbreaking loss on Monday, it was uncertain what kind of recovery time the South Point Lady Pointers would need.
Looks like less than 24 hours.
After a 6-5 loss on Monday at Ironton, the Lady Pointers bounced back quickly with a 10-0 Ohio Valley Conference run rule win over the Chesapeake Lady Panthers on Tuesday.
South Point (16-7, 9-3) collected 13 hits and Kota Copley pitched a 3-hitter in the win.
Copley struck out 8 and walked just one in getting the win. She also went 4-4 with 2 runs batted in at the plate to pace the offense.
Also contributing to the South Point offense were Kyleigh Castle who was 3-3 with an RBI, Chloe West 3-3, Adyson Copley 1-3 with an RBI, Raygen Yates 1-3 with 2 RBI, Kaylee Stidham 1-3 and Brinly Stamper had an RBI.
Chesapeake (7-15, 1-9) was led by Madelyn Frye who went 2-2 and KJ Collins who was 1-2.
