Middle inning rallies key Redwomen past Lady Dragons

PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redwomen used a 16-hit attack to beat the Fairland Lady Dragons 10-5 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Wednesday.
Rock Hill (6-11, 5-4) was led by pitcher Khloe Kline who went 3-3 at the plate and drove in 3 runs along with Ryleigh Boles who was 3-4.
But there were plenty of other contributors as Bridgette Stapleton went 2-4 with a double and an RBI, Sami Bamer 2-4 with an RBI, Kylee Brooks 2-4, Aubrey Malone was 1-4 with a home run and 3 RBI, Alaina Wilds 1-4 with an RBI, Savannah Barnes 1-3 and Abby Schug 1-4.
Kline got the win as she gave up 6 hits, just one earned run with 6 strikeouts and 4 walks.
Fairland (2-15, 0-10) was led by Yardley Gorby who went 2-3 with a double and an RBI, Maddie Short was 1-3 with a double and an RBI, Maddie Cornwell 1-3 with a triple, Emmy Brown 1-2, and Taegan Leep was 1-3.
Trailing 4-1, the Redwomen took the lead in the bottom of the third with a 4-run rally,
Stapleton got ahold of a 2-2 pitch and drove it into left for a triple to score a run. Then Kline followed up two pitches later ith a double to score Stapleton.
With two outs, Wilds singled into left and an error in the field allowed Kline to score. Then on the very next pitch, Bamer singled back up the middle to score Wilds and give Rock Hill a 5-4 lead.
Malone's 3-run shot into left field highlighted another 4-run rally in the fourth to help the Redwomen take control of the game.
