SOUTH POINT — The South Point Lady Pointers’ performance on Monday was a big hit.


About 18 hits worth.


The Lady Pointers had 18 hits en route to a 13-3 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Rock Hill Redwomen.


South Point (12-5, 6-2) got big efforts from the top 4 batters in the lineup as Kota Copley went 4-4 with a double and a triple, Kaylee Stidham 4-4 with two doubles and 4 RBI, Adyson Copley 3-5 with a triple and an RBI and Raygen Yates 3-4 with a pair of RBI.


Kota Copley got the win as she gave up 9 hits, 3 earned runs, with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.


Rock Hill (5-11, 4-4) was paced by Alaina Wilds who was 2-3 with a double and a home run while Sami Bamer was 3-3 with a triple.


Others with hits for Rock Hill were Bridgett Stapleton 1-3, Abby Schug 1-2, and Savannah Barnes 1-3 with 2 RBI.
