PROCTORVILLE — Talk about getting off on the wrong foot.
The Fairland Lady Dragons fell behind 10-0 in the first inning as they fell 12-1 to the Wayne Lady Pioneers on Thursday in a non-league game.
After the bad start, Wayne (3-2) outscored Fairland just 2-1 over the next 4 innings.
Fairland (1-2) had 5 hits with Taegan Leep going 2-2 with a double, Aubrey Hayes was 2-2 with a run batted in, and Maddie Cornwell was 1-3 with a triple.
Wayne had 11 hits with Kylee Copley going 2-2 with a double and 4 RBI with Bristol Tiller going 2-3 with a triple.
Fairland visits Huntington (W.Va.) High on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
