Devine intervention leads WVU over Auburn

 Despite two early interceptions by West Virginia quarterback Pat White, the Mountaineers were able to rally from a 17-3 deficit in the second quarter and rattle out 31 unanswered points to beat the Auburn Tigers 34-17 on Thursday at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown.

Put up or shut up Friday in southern Ohio

 High noon will come about seven and a half hours late Friday, but it will be showdown time Friday night in high school football. The Gunfight at O.K. Corral in Rome Township has the Coal Grove Hornets facing the Fairland Dragons. The other shootout will be the Wheelersburg Pirates at the Portsmouth West Senators in a battle of unbeatens.
